Turning Fabric Scraps Into a Shirt

I turned leftover fabric scraps into a completely wearable shirt!

I didn’t have enough of one scrap to make the entire front, so I combined it with brown fabric to create a unique color-blocked, scrap fabric shirt. This is a simple sewing project and a great way to use fabric scraps, leftover fabric, fabric remnants, and small pieces of material that might otherwise end up in the trash.

Instead of throwing away those too-small-to-use scraps, try combining them with other fabrics to make something new!

In this video, I show how I used scrap fabric to create a handmade shirt with a 3/4 patterned front and 1/4 solid brown section, with a brown back. It’s an example of how you can get creative with fabric you already have instead of buying new fabric for every sewing project.

If you have a pile of leftover fabric scraps, I hope this gives you some inspiration to rescue them and turn them into something you can actually wear!
